When it comes to adopting a furbaby, daily walks become a part of life. Not only does the exercise help bonding and socialization, it's also a great way to keep your four-legged family member healthy. And with walks come potty breaks, making the ownership of dog poop bags a must. But they are so bad for the environment!

All that plastic -- it's horrible. While some use Oxo-Biodegradable as a solution to this problem, that material only breaks down into microbeads of plastic. Any nature show can explain how problematic these beads are.

We therefore took it a step further, following EN13432 guidelines for a 9" × 13" bag made from Corn Starch. The material dissolves entirely with the help of only oxygen and water. EN13432 is the European equivalent to BPI ASTM D6400, but it even goes a step further. While D6400 is only approved for Industrial Compost, our bags have certification in OK COMPOST INDUSTRIAL, SEEDLING and OK COMPOST HOME. Certified by TUV Austria, formerly known as Vincotte.

Not only is the final product environmentally friendly, but features an incredible soft-touch surface.

    The previous "eco friendly" bags I was purchasing were not the ones that are really biodegradable (you can tell by the texture) - these ones are!! Don't be fooled by green coloring or what-not, read the labels carefully. The only gripe I have with this product is the packaging. There is a little cut-out window in the cardboard box which is backed with PLASTIC. The cut-out isn't big enough for anything to fall out, and being an earth friendly product, one would think they would not incur such unnecessary waste :/.

    When you think about how many bags you go through it’s ALOOOOT so it only makes sense to use ones that are good for the environment. I love these bags because they are 100% biodegradable and not like others that “break into a million pieces of plastic”. They have a soft feel to them so be careful (my finger broke through one before as I was picking up poop). These are great and the only bags I will ever use.

    I got these 8 months ago and they've been great. No breakage. Easier to open than the plastic ones. Obviously they still refuse to open when your dog just did his business in a yard with the homeowner watching. 😉 I wondered how they'd hold up in the damp PNW. I've seen no signs of falling apart when I carry the goods for 1-2 miles in the rain. I also use them for back yard cleanup. There's been no spillage when I dump my collection container once a week on garbage day. My collector is a plastic hose basket with drain holes. So they're exposed to the weather, but no standing water. As for the smell factor, it's the same as plastic. If sir dog gives me a particularly fragrant sample and I know the nearest garbage can is far away, I double bag.

    They feel thinner than the Earth Rated (Plastic) bags, but these are fantastic. I've yet to have one split on me (thank you, Earth Rated), and I've dug frozen turds out of snow. The stickers are very annoying though. you have to pull them off the right way or they leave a hole. If only they were less sticky. Otherwise, very glad they're biodegradable, no scent.

    Given that the company gives supplies to foster dogs for unbiased reviews, I asked my husband half-jokingly what he thought about the new bags. “They’re great!” He replied which I wasn’t expecting as they’re poop bags and not something he would necessarily notice. “Really? What’s so great about them?” “Well, they’re easier to open- I can even do it with my gloves on. Plus they don’t rip down the side like the regular (green) bags can.” I agree, they’re thicker and easier to work with than the normal plastic bag and they biodegrade at some point which was worth paying a little more for (although not too much).

    The perfect bag for my needs (baby wipes)...I LOVE the cute blue color, how they feel, how easy they are to open, how sturdy they are, how easy they are to tie up, no holes in the seams, and no smell. They come in rolls perfectly lined up in a box. The bags are slightly transparent but opaque enough to keep the contents fairly discreet. I like that they are for doggies even though I use them for baby wipes :D Couldn’t ask for a better product!

    Everything seems to be as advertised. We are using the bags every day or two when we scoop poop and clumped pee in the cat's litter pan. We put quite a lot of clumped litter in some of the bags and haven't had any issues. The bags are easily tied in a knot at the top after twisting the top of the bag several times. Happy with purchase.

    Bags have a slight "velvet" feel to the material that makes them less slippery and easier to handle than all other types. They are a good "normal" size and sturdy enough to get the job done. Bright color is nice in order to spot a full bag that I've left along the walk. Highly recommend.
